The kids loved it January 5, 2009 J. Archer (Sonoita) My two girls are huge Backyardigan fans. It actually ranks higher than Dora or Diego, which can get annoying really fast for me. I bought the DVD, episode unseen and they were hooked from the start. It was in November and my three year old has already decided that she wants to be Knight Uniqua and her sister to be Grabbin' Goblin for Halloween next year. The girls would have given it five stars, they attempt to sing along with all the songs and can even quote many a line, I would have given it a three star since the songs seem more repetitive than most of the other DVDs we own and I truly do not like the last episode. I like the idea of it being great to pick up garbage and to see it as important, the lines just get on my nerves. Hence the four stars.
My son LOVES this movie September 22, 2008 A. Radcliffe We bought this shortly after seeing it on TV when it first came out, at that time my son was about to turn 3. Since then he has learned all the words to the movie, every word to every song and most of the "dance moves." Its a great way to distract him on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when I need to get some work done around the house. It has also come in handy as a way to keep him happy on long plane rides. I think that any kids who likes the Backyardigans would enjoy this movie, but it might be a bit more "boy" with the Knights and dragons.
Knight Zachary LOVES this!!! September 8, 2008 mommyofzachy (North Olmsted, Ohio) This is the ABSOLUTE cutest movie. My son is 2, and has just fallen in love with-not only this show-but with the whole knight/shield/sword thing. We have so much fun watching this together, and when we have company over and put it on...no one can believe how he acts out every scene. He loves the little egg, and begs me for real eggs in our refrigerator. This movie is a MUST SEE if your little one is a backyardigan fan!!!!!!!!
The Backyardigans: Tale of the Mighty Knights September 7, 2008 jamie My three year old niece absolutely loves this movie. She acts out and sings all the songs right along with the dvd. She loves it so much that we are taking her to see the live stage show. Jamie Yoder
A Winner! July 9, 2008 Angie T I bought the Tale of the Mighty Knights after seeing the episode with my daughter on TV. For those of you who like to see all five Backyardigans characters in episodes, this is the DVD to buy! The Mighty Knights episode has some pretty catchy rock music, but the Blazing Paddles episode's music is still stuck in my head (and it's a good thing). The last episode, Garbage Trek, will tickle the funny bone of anyone who's seen or will admit to having watched Star Trek for the clever similarities. A winner with all 3 episodes with characters, stories, and music.
